| Decided to attend the
dedication of the Whidbey Patrol Squadron Memorial in Oak Harbor, Washington. This memorial is dedicated to all NAS Whidbey Island
Navy Patrol Squadron personnel. My brother-in-law, AD2 Russel "Scott" Feldmann was killed in a Navy P2V flight out of NAS Whidbey
Island in 1963 and his name is inscribed on the memorial. The highight of this trip was having my daughter, Debbie, accompany me.
I flew into Portland Oregon, rented a car, and drove to Vancouver, Washington to pick up Debbie. We then drove up to Seattle for a
stop at the Space Needle. Then we caught the Washington State Ferry System to Whidbey Island. We attended the memorial dedication and
visited some friends on Whidbey. A nice trip...
