Whidbey Island, Washington Trip
September 2006

The song playing is "To Where You Are"

Decided to attend the dedication of the Whidbey Patrol Squadron Memorial in Oak Harbor, Washington. This memorial is dedicated to all NAS Whidbey Island Navy Patrol Squadron personnel. My brother-in-law, AD2 Russel "Scott" Feldmann was killed in a Navy P2V flight out of NAS Whidbey Island in 1963 and his name is inscribed on the memorial. The highight of this trip was having my daughter, Debbie, accompany me. I flew into Portland Oregon, rented a car, and drove to Vancouver, Washington to pick up Debbie. We then drove up to Seattle for a stop at the Space Needle. Then we caught the Washington State Ferry System to Whidbey Island. We attended the memorial dedication and visited some friends on Whidbey. A nice trip...
