In 2005 I was supposed to go to a Navy reunion in Corpus Christi, Texas and had already bought the airline ticket. With company coming, during that weekend, I decided to cancel the trip to the reunion. I have always wanted to visit Luckenbach, Texas ever since the song came out around 1977. So I decided to use the ticket to go there. Around 1978, I remember being at a party, blown out of my tree, and singing the song and thinking "Someday I'm going to Luckenbach!! Well it took me about 28 years to get there, but I made it!! Had a great time. Here are a few photos of my trip.
