NAVAL AIR MAINTENANCE TRAINING DETACHMENTS ALAMEDA

NAS ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA

NAMTRADETS Alameda, located on the Alameda Naval Air Station consisted of two Detachments. These were NAMTD 1073 (A3) and NAMTD 4032 (Air Launched Weapons).

The mission of the Detachments was to maintain an operationally rich training environment by providing quality organizational level maintenance training for fleet replacement personnel on the A-3 aircraft and the Air Launched Weapons Systems utilized by all Navy aircraft.

Equipment normally included training panels, mock-up devices, composite training devices and other computer-based training devices that simulate aircraft systems in operation.

All phases of training are complementary and standardized,resulting in training uniformity. Only those courses approved for by the Naval Air Maintenance Training Group (NAMTRAGRU) may be taught under this training concept,
